Each year, thousands of entries are evaluated through multiple rounds of blind judging. Only those that earn a Double Gold medal, awarded by unanimous panel agreement, advance to the final stage of the competition known as "Sweeps." At Sweeps, these top-scoring entries are tasted again, blind, by the full panel of judges at the competition and voted on within their categories to determine the Best of Class and Best in Show winners. Fewer than 2% of all entries ultimately earn these top honors, representing the very best products across all categories.
